Mind, body, & spirit : an ecological community-based approach to healthy aging
Based on the biopsychosocial approach of the ecological theory of aging, the present study examined the health status and social engagement of participants in an osteoporosis-prevention exercise class for adults over the age of 65 in two counties in Western Massachusetts. A self-rated health survey was developed and administered in each of the Healthy Bones & Balance classes with 226 responses in total.
Participants in this study had higher self-rated health scores than have been found in a national epidemiological study. In particular, participants who live alone were engaging in more social activities – at senior centers and places of worship – than those participants who did not live alone and had face-to-face daily interactions with others.
This study adds depth and nuance to our understanding of the multidimensional human experience of aging, rather than focusing on the surface-level perception of older adults as either sick or healthy

EXPLORING STUDENTS REASONING PATTERNS ON REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM OF PLANTS AND ANIMALS MATERIAL
The 21st century requires students to have high-level thinking abilities. One of the thinking abilities that students must have is logical reasoning. In learning, especially science, scientific logical thinking is very important. Science learning generally focuses on factual memory and experiments, so that both can improve students' scientific reasoning abilities. In the learning process in class, students have different reasoning patterns in understanding a problem. From this background, the aim of this research is to determine students' scientific logical reasoning patterns in solving problem-based problems that integrate material on plant and animal breeding systems and to determine teachers' strategies in efforts to improve students. 'logical thinking skills in scientific reasoning. This research was conducted at a junior high school in the city of Ponorogo with a sample of Ninth grade B students. The method used was a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, diagnostic test instruments and documentation. Based on the research results, the teacher's strategy in developing students' reasoning skills is to provide problem-based problems based on three indicators of logical thinking skills, namely thinking sequence, argumentation and inference skills. Meanwhile, students can use different reasoning patterns in solving problems given by the teacher. This research is new or new from previous research, namely the N-Vivo software is used for data analysis and is presented in depth with qualitative descriptions
The Mahogany’s (Swietenia machrophylla King) Planting using the Bare Root Method
Kerusakan bibit dalam pengangkutan sering terjadi pada bibit yang menggunakan kontainer (polybag, potray, dan sebagainya), terutama pada saat penyusunan bibit ke dalam alat angkut, selama perjalanan, pada saat bongkar dan pada saat distribusi bibit ke lubang tanam. Salah satu solusi mengatasi masalah kerusakan bibit dalam pengangkutan adalah dengan menggunakan bibit akar telanjang. Penggunaan bibit mahoni yang disemai pada media cocopeat dapat dijadikan bibit akar telanjang dan diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan selama pengangkutan dari persemaian ke lokasi penanaman. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh umur bibit mahoni (pada media cocopeat di persemaian) dan lama penundaan waktu tanam (bibit akar telanjang) terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman mahoni. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial (RALF) dengan dua faktor yaitu umur bibit dan lama penundaan waktu tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman mahoni yang berasal dari bibit akar telanjang dipengaruhi oleh faktor umur bibit dan interaksi umur bibit dengan lama penundaan waktu tanam. Perlakuan umur bibit yang tua (5,5 bulan) menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang lebih baik dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Penundaan waktu tanam hingga 6 hari masih diperbolehkan karena dapat memberikan respon pertumbuhan yang baik.

The use of mahogany seeds sown on cocopeat as bare root seeds is expected to answer the problems during transportation from the nursery to the planting site. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Mahagony seedling age (on cocopeat medium in the nursery) and the length of time to delay planting (bare-root seedling). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) and factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors, namely the age of the seeds and the length of time to delay planting. The results of this study indicated that the growth of mahogany bare root seedlings was influenced by the age of the seedlings and the interaction between the age of the seeds and the delay in planting time. The old seedling (5,5 months old) showed better growth than other treatments. Delay in planting time of up to 6 days is still allowed because it can provide a good growth response.

Analisis Teknologi Digital dan Daya Tarik Konsumen terhadap Produk UMKM Di Pekanbaru
Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis perkembangan Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) di Pekanbaru, di mana kota tersebut menjadi pusat pertumbuhan mayoritas sektor ekonomi, terutama UMKM. Untuk mengikuti tren ini, pelaku UMKM kini beralih ke strategi penjualan digital dengan memanfaatkan market place dan memasarkan produk melalui media sosial. Selain itu, mereka perlu berkolaborasi dengan warganet untuk meningkatkan pemasaran produk dan jasa. Dengan demikian, pengembangan UMKM digital dianggap sebagai opsi yang krusial untuk mendukung pelaku usaha di era teknologi yang terus berkembang. Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi kepustakaan untuk menguraikan literatur seputar pengembangan UMKM digital, dan menyimpulkan bahwa hal ini menjadi alternatif penting dalam mendukung dan mengembangkan kewirausahaan digital di Indonesia saat ini
Pengaruh Proses Pengeringan dan Konsentrasi Gliserol terhadap Karakteristik Mekanik Pektin Edible Film
Currently, plastic food packaging material is widely used in Indonesia. According to data of the Ministry of Industry, the demand for plastic packaging reached 2,35 million tons per year. Plastic packaging has the advantages of strong and lightweight. But the use of plastic packaging has a problem that cannot be degraded naturally. One of the solutions of these problems is by using edible film as packaging. The objective of this research was to study the effect of drying process and glycerol concentrations on mechanical properties of pectin edible film. Glycerol was used as plasticizer at the concentrations of 0; 0,99: 1,96; 2,91; 3,84; 4,76 % v/v for film forming. The drying process was done using oven at various temperatures of 40, 50 and 60oC. Sample was dried until the final moisture content was less than 1% wet basis. Then, edible films were taken to determine mechanical properties including tensile strength and elongation of break. The results showed that pectin edible film without glycerol had a higher tensile strength than that pectin edible film with 4,76%. Also, tensile strength was significantly increased with the increasing drying temperature (p<0.05). The elongation was significantly decreased when the drying temperature increased (p<0.05)
