Parity-Time Symmetric Capacitive Wireless Power Transfer with Extended Transfer Distance

    Get PDF
Despite increasing popularity of capacitive wireless power transfer as a complementary technique to its inductive counterpart, the capacitive system entails a major performance bottleneck in terms of robustness of power transfer level over separating distance due to inherently low nature of electric couplings as compared to magnetic fields. This work develops an enhanced capacitive wireless power transfer system by means of incorporating the parity-time symmetry, with the capability to maintain transferred power over a significantly extended distance. General theoretical analysis is derived for parity-time symmetric capacitive power transfer based on both series and parallel coupled resonators. A practical parity-time symmetric capacitive system with a 10-W power delivery was designed and simulated. Extensive simulation using practical components indicates more than twenty-fold increase in the transfer distance than its conventional non-parity-time-symmetric capacitive counterpart, with an efficiency over 90%

FACTORS AFFECTING THE DECISION MAKING TO CHOOSE DANCE SCHOOL IN BANGKOK METROPOLITAN AREA

This study investigates factors influencing the decision-making process of individuals choosing dance schools in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to identify key determinants such as location, reputation, cost, curriculum, and instructor qualifications. Findings reveal that while cost and location are significant, the reputation of the school and instructor qualifications play crucial roles. The study aims to provide insights for dance school administrators to better understand their target market and improve their offerings. Objectives include studying the demographic characteristics of those who choose dance schools in Bangkok, examining consumer behavior toward the dance school industry, and analyzing the importance of the marketing mix (product, price, distribution channel, promotion, process, image, and presentation) for prospective students. Methods involve a quantitative approach with descriptive research and surveys. Cluster 1 is diverse in gender, with many young adults and middle-aged respondents, including students, private company officers, and lower to mid-income earners. Consumer behavior in this cluster shows a balanced interest in various dance courses, lower study expenses, a preference for evening study times, and a high preference for weekend study times. Cluster 2 is predominantly female, younger, and more diverse in occupation and income levels, with higher education levels and higher income earners. This cluster focuses on finding special skills and talents, with a strong preference for specific dance courses (especially K-pop Dance), more diverse and higher study expenses, balanced study times throughout the day, and varied main study times, including weekends and combined times. In conclusion, the importance of the marketing mix (7Ps) segments consumers into two clusters in this study

THE EFFECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLINESS FANATICISM OF STUDENTS TOWARDS PURCHASE INTENTION AND PURCHASE DECISION OF ORGANIC FOOD

Organic food (OF) market is claimed as the fastest growing market in 20th century. Therefore, there are much research about finding factors that affect purchase intention towards OF, one of them is the Food Choice Questionnaire (FCQ), by which it is easy to assess nine distinct food choice motives and one important domain which is represented in FCQ is food choice based on ethical reasons. However, environmental protection or ecological motives is the most important motive to consume organic food. This study aims to see how fanaticism towards eco-friendly would affect the purchase intention and decision of organic food from the student’s perspective. This study uses 250 respondents from agricultural universities in Indonesia and Thailand, picked by purposive sampling method. This study found that fanaticism towards environmental friendliness affects purchase intention of organic food and purchase intention, simultaneously affects the purchase decision significantly in both countries. The moderating effect of price only affects the effect purchase intention on purchase decision of organic food in Indonesia. This happens because Thailand and Indonesia have different fanatic score and level of household monthly income. This study is helped by SmartPLS 3.0 to run the SEM-PLS and VALS Survey to analyze characteristics of respondents. Keywords: environment-friendly fanaticism, organic food, purchase intention, purchase decision, VALS Surve
