Pengaruh Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional Terhadap Komitmen Organisasional Dan Organizational Citizenship Behavior Yang Dimediasi Oleh Kepuasan Kerja
Recently the growing of the hospital as the healthy services organization is increasing rapidly. This raises an intense competition between hospitals. Hospital not only compete each other but also with a practical tocologist, practical doctors and other healty services. The result of the research show that leadership transformation is significantly effect te job satisfaction. Leadership transformation is significantly effect the OCB. Job satisfaction issignificantly effect the organization commitment. Organization commitment is significantly effect the OC
Examining the role of job resources on work engagement in the academic setting
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between job resources, namely autonomy, social support and performance feedback and work engagement.Data were gathered through questionnaire from a sample of academicians (n = 532) who worked in four public universities (Mu’tah University, The University of Jordan, The Hashemite University and Yarmouk University) located in the southern, middle and northern region of Jordan. Results indicate that autonomy, social support and performance feedback were a significant factor in influencing academicians work engagement. These findings generally supported past findings, which suggested that employees are more likely to engage with their work if they are given the autonomy, social support and performance feedback. The findings were discussed and implications were also put forward
Competing risks for reliability analysis using Cox’s model
Purpose – Cox’s model with Weibull distribution and Cox’s with exponential distribution are the most important models in reliability analysis. This paper seeks to show that, with a large sample size based on expectation maximization (EM) algorithm, both models give similar results.
Design/methodology/approach – The parameters of the models have been estimated by method of maximum likelihood based on EM algorithm. The objective of this analysis is to fit the modification of Cox’s model with Weibull distribution and Cox’s with exponential distribution, examine its
performance and compare their results with Crowder et al.
Findings – A simulation study indicates that the parametric Cox’s model with Weibull distribution gives similar results to Cox’s with exponential distribution, especially for a large sample size. Also, the modification of the two models showed better results compared with Crowder et al., especially for the second causes of failure.
Originality/value – A modification of the two competing risk models has mostly been applied in failure time data and simulation data. The results of the simulation study indicate that the Weibull and exponential are suitable for Cox’s model as they are easy to use and it can achieve even higher accuracy compared with other distribution models
Consumer Behavior Towards Safer Car Purchasing Decisions
In Malaysia, the car safety level has been elevated through regulations and a consumer-based approach, i.e. the New Car Assessment Program in Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). Nevertheless, the availability of information on consumers\u27 car purchasing decisions towards safety is still limited in Malaysia. Thus, this study was aimed at evaluating consumers\u27 purchasing decisions of their present cars and investigating their awareness of ASEAN NCAP. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed among consumers visiting different car showrooms and dealer shops. The findings suggest that safety was considered as one of the top three factors by the respondents when purchasing their present cars. Awareness of ASEAN NCAP has increased as compared to a previous study. This information is essential for policy makers, manufacturers and other stakeholders to assist in setting priorities with regard to the promotion of car safety in the country
Seroprevalence and risk factors for influenza a viruses in pigs in Peninsular Malaysia
Following a series of H5N1 cases in chickens and birds in a few states in Malaysia, there was much interest in the influenza A viruses subtypes that circulate among the local pig populations. Pigs may act as a mixing vessel for avian and mammal influenza viruses, resulting in new reassorted viruses. This study investigated the presence of antibodies against influenza H1N1 and H3N2 viruses in pigs from Peninsular Malaysia using Herdcheck Swine Influenza H1N1 and H3N2 Antibody Test Kits. At the same time, the presence of influenza virus was examined from the nasal swabs of seropositive pigs by virus isolation and real time RT-PCR. The list of pig farms was obtained from the headquarters of the Department of Veterinary Services, Malaysia, and pig herds were selected randomly from six of 11 states in Peninsular Malaysia. A total of 727 serum and nasal swab samples were collected from 4- to 6-month-old pigs between May and August 2005. By ELISA, the seroprevalences of swine influenza H1N1 and H3N2 among pigs were 12.2% and 12.1% respectively. Seropositivity for either of the virus subtypes was detected in less than half of the 41 sampled farms (41.4%). Combination of both subtypes was detected in 4% of all pigs and in 22% of sampled farms. However, no virus or viral nucleic acid was detected from nasal samples. This study identified that the seropositivity of pigs to H1N1 and H3N2 based on ELISA was significantly associated with factors such as size of farm, importation or purchase of pigs, proximity of farm to other pig farms and the presence of mammalian pets within the farm
