Mixture of multiple copies of maximally entangled states is quasi-pure
Employing the general BXOR operation and local state discrimination, the
mixed state of the form
\rho^{(k)}_{d}=\frac{1}{d^{2}}\sum_{m,n=0}^{d-1}(|\phi_{mn}><\phi_{mn}|)^{\otim
es k} is proved to be quasi-pure, where is the canonical set
of mutually orthogonal maximally entangled states in . Therefore
irreversibility does not occur in the process of distillation for this family
of states. Also, the distillable entanglement is calculated explicitly.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure. The paper is subtantially revised and the general

Classical simulation of quantum many-body systems with a tree tensor network
We show how to efficiently simulate a quantum many-body system with tree
structure when its entanglement is bounded for any bipartite split along an
edge of the tree. This is achieved by expanding the {\em time-evolving block
decimation} simulation algorithm for time evolution from a one dimensional
lattice to a tree graph, while replacing a {\em matrix product state} with a
{\em tree tensor network}. As an application, we show that any one-way quantum
computation on a tree graph can be efficiently simulated with a classical
computer.Comment: 4 pages,7 figure

Measurements of the fluctuation-induced in-plane magnetoconductivity at high reduced temperatures and magnetic fields in the iron arsenide BaFe(2-x)NixAs2
The superconducting fluctuations well inside the normal state of Fe-based
superconductors were studied through measurements of the in-plane
paraconductivity and magnetoconductivity in high quality BaFe(2-x)NixAs2
crystals with doping levels from the optimal (x=0.10) up to the highly
overdoped (x=0.20). These measurements, performed in magnetic fields up to 9 T
perpendicular to the ab (Fe) layers, allowed a reliable check of the
applicability to iron-based superconductors of Ginzburg-Landau approaches for
3D anisotropic compounds, even at high reduced temperatures and magnetic
fields. Our results also allowed us to gain valuable insights into the
dependence on the doping level of some central superconducting parameters
(coherence lengths and anisotropy factor).Comment: 23 pages including 6 figure

How to escape Aharonov-Bohm cages ?
We study the effect of disorder and interactions on a recently proposed
magnetic field induced localization mechanism. We show that both partially
destroy the extreme confinement of the excitations occuring in the pure case
and give rise to unusual behavior. We also point out the role of the edge
states that allows for a propagation of the electrons in these systems.Comment: 22 pages, 20 EPS figure
