¿Son suficientes los programas de asistencia social para los adultos mayores?

Faced with the growth of life expectancy, there are more and more older adults in our country. This implies taking measures to satisfy the needs of this physical condition, which is why it is considered necessary that social assistance analyzed as a human right of social character is extended to the elderly to ensure in a dignified manner the last stage through which we humans.Ante el crecimiento de la expectativa de vida cada vez son más las personas adultas mayores en nuestro país esto conlleva tomar medidas para satisfacer las necesidades propias de esta condición física es por eso que se considera necesario el que la asistencia social analizada como un derecho humano de carácter social se haga extensivo a las personas adultas mayores para así garantizar de manera digna la última etapa por la que atravesamos los seres humanos

El ius y el fas: de lo sagrado a lo profano

In its origins, Roman law presented a strong link between the religious and the secular. There was a strong relationship between the ius and the fas in archaic times and, as time passed and Rome became more complex in the times of the Republic, a process of secularization of Roman law took place. In any case, this link between the human and the divine survived in some aspects, such as the elaborations of Praetorian law that used archaic customs (soaked in religion) to cover gaps or prevent injustices, as well as in the opinions of the iurisprudens. We will analyze the meaning and use of the word ius and its current term, right, to then do the same with the fas trying to find the link between the two from the beginning of Rome to the Corpus Iuris.  En sus orígenes el derecho romano presentó una fuerte vinculación entre lo religioso y lo secular. Existió una fuerte relación entre el ius y el fas en los tiempos arcaicos y, a medida que transcurrió el tiempo y se complejizó Roma en los tiempos de la República, se produjo un proceso de laicización del derecho romano. De todos modos esa ligazón entre lo humano y lo divino pervivió en algunos aspectos, como las elaboraciones del derecho pretoriano que utilizo las costumbres arcaicas (empapadas de lo religioso) para cubrir lagunas o impedir injusticias, así como en las opiniones de los iurisprudens. Analizaremos el significado y uso del vocablo ius y su término actual, derecho, para luego hacer lo mismo con el fas tratando de encontrar la vinculación entre ambos desde los inicios de Roma hasta el Corpus Iuris

Proposal for The Design And Installation Of The Guided Media Section Of The Networking Laboratory Based on Professional Competencies of The Tecnm Campus of The Technological Institute of Minatitlán

Actualmente en el TecNM campus Instituto Tecnológico de Minatitlán, cuenta con un Laboratorio de Redes, donde existe equipamiento de telecomunicaciones. Esta área cuenta con la infraestructura para desarrollar las prácticas de base de datos, sistemas operativos de redes y conectividad de redes, sin embargo, existe aún una sección sin la infraestructura necesaria para las prácticas de las materias de Fundamentos de Telecomunicaciones y Redes de Computadoras (Retícula básica) y Diseño de Redes con Medios Guiados y No guiados (Módulo de especialidad), del Plan ISIC-2010-224, mismo que está en el esquema de competencias profesionales. Con la propuesta de diseño e instalación se pretende la realización de este proyecto cuyo objetivo es consolidar la infraestructura existente y acreditar el programa de estudios de Ingeniería en Sistemas Computacionales.Currently, at the TecNM campus of the Minatitlán Technological Institute, there is a Network Laboratory, where there is telecommunications equipment. Stress response of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) to environmental contamination with selected pharmaceuticals: A proteomic study

Pharmaceutical compounds have been found in rivers and treated wastewaters. They often contaminate irrigation waters and consequently accumulate in edible vegetables, causing changes in plants metabolism The main objective of this work is to understand how lettuce plants cope with the contamination from three selected pharmaceuticals using a label free proteomic analysis. A lettuce hydroponic culture, grown for 36 days, was exposed to metformin, acetaminophen and carbamazepine (at 1 mg/L), during 8 days, after which roots and leaves were sampled and analysed using a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry proteomics-based approach. In roots, a total of 612 proteins showed differentially accumulation while in leaves 237 proteins were identified with significant differences over controls. Carbamazepine was the contaminant that most affected protein abundance in roots, while in leaves the highest number of differentially accumulated proteins was observed for acetaminophen. In roots under carbamazepine, stress related protein species such as catalase, superoxide dismutase and peroxidases presented higher abundance. Ascorbate peroxidase increased in roots under metformin. Cell respiration protein species were affected by the presence of the three pharmaceuticals suggesting possible dysregulation of the Krebs cycle. Acetaminophen caused the main differences in respiration pathways, with more emphasis in leaves. EL TERCERO CONSTITUCIONAL A DEBATE

Secular, free, compulsory, comprehensive, scientific, democratic, nationalist, and quality education, as values for public education that have been incorporated and evolved over time, have given meaning and direction to government action for much of the century since the Mexican Constitution of 1917 was enacted; however, they still seem distant and insufficient to configure the educational project of future Mexico. Therefore, the debate on the right to education, although it has been present among specialists and academics for several decades, seems more relevant today, in the face of the difficulties and controversies that the 2013 education reform has faced.The centenary of Article 3 of the Constitution is a symbolic framework that provides the opportunity to compile the current state of the debate, which has been achieved thanks to the collaboration between the National Pedagogical University, the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences-Mexico (FLACSO) and the Education Commission of the Senate of the Republic, 63rd Legislature, which also opens up the possibility for permanent reflection on the challenges that this important human right will have to face in the coming years.To provide a fair reflection of the national debate, plurality was established as one of the main objectives of this work. The contributions included were developed by their authors, in response to a call from the National Pedagogical University and the Education Commission of the Senate of the Republic, 63rd Legislature, seeking that anyone interested in the subject who had something to contribute to the debate could do so, always within a framework of tolerance for the right of others to dissent, a condition that the participating authors showed in a high example of capacity for dialogue and debate among peers, where totalizing positions gave way to critical reflection.Educación laica, gratuita, obligatoria, integral, científica, democrática, nacionalista y de calidad, como valores para la educación pública que se han incorporado y evolucionado a través del tiempo, han dado sentido y orientación a la acción gubernamental durante gran parte del siglo que ha cumplido la Constitución mexicana de 1917; sin embargo, parecen aún lejanos e insuficientes para configurar el proyecto educativo del México futuro. Por ello, el debate sobre el derecho a la educación, si bien tiene varias décadas de estar presente entre especialistas y académicos, parece más pertinente hoy, frente a las dificultades y controversias que ha enfrentado la reforma educativa de 2013. El centenario del Artículo Tercero Constitucional es un marco simbólico que brinda la oportunidad de compendiar el estado actual de su debate, mismo que se ha logrado gracias a la colaboración entre la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales-México (flacso) y la Comisión de Educación del Senado de la República lxiii Legislatura, que además abre la posibilidad para la reflexión permanente sobre los retos que deberá enfrentar, en los años venideros, este importante derecho humano.  Para hacer un justo reflejo del debate nacional, la pluralidad se planteó como uno de los principales objetivos de esta obra. Las contribuciones que se encuentran incluidas fueron desarrolladas por sus autores, en respuesta a una convocatoria de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional y la Comisión de Educación del Senado de la República lxiii Legislatura, buscando que todo interesado en el tema que tuviera algo que aportar al debate pudiese hacerlo, siempre en un marco de tolerancia al derecho de otros de disentir, condición que los autores participantes mostraron en un elevado ejemplo de capacidad de diálogo y debate entre pares, donde las posturas totalizantes cedieron el paso a la crítica reflexiva

Effect of throughflow and Coriolis force on Bénard convection in micropolar fluids

The effect of throughflow and Coriolis force on convective instabilities in micropolar fluid layer heated from below for free‐free, isothermal and micro‐rotation free boundaries is investigated. Calculations are made using a lower order Galerkin approximation to solve the eigenvalue problem for stationary instability. It is observed that both stabilizing and destabilizing factors due to constant vertical throughflow can be enhanced by rotation.</jats:p

Comparative efficacy of oral gabapentin versus melatonin for attenuation of haemodynamic response to direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation

Several drugs have been tried and used to attenuate the haemodynamic response to direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation. In this study, we have compared the efficacy of Gabapentin and Melatonin, an endogenous hormone, in attenuating the haemodynamic response to direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation. 60 patients of ASA physical status I and II scheduled to undergo elective surgeries were randomly allocated to three groups: the Control group, Melatonin group and Gabapentin group. Placebo, 6mg melatonin, or 300mg gabapentin respectively were administered orally to the patients in the three groups 120min before surgery. Pre-operative anxiety score, induction dose of propofol and the patient’s heart rate and blood pressure were recorded. The haemodynamic parameters were recorded every minute for 5 minutes after intubation and then at 10 and 15min after intubation. Patients in the study groups were found to have significantly reduced pre-operative anxiety scores and dose of propofol required for induction was also significantly lower than control. Heart rate was found to be significantly lower in the study groups at all time points. Systolic blood pressure was significantly lower in the study groups at 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 and 15min after intubation. Diastolic and Mean blood pressures were significantly lower in the study groups at 1 and 2min after intubation. Post-hoc tests showed no significant differences between the two study groups. Both melatonin and gabapentin are effective in attenuating the haemodynamic response to direct laryngoscopy and endotracheal intubation. Both drugs are also effective in reducing pre-operative anxiety and also reduce the induction dose of propofol.</jats:p
