[[abstract]]In response to the rapidly developing of wireless communication technology, the deployed of eNB is denser and more complex. The research of how to handover accurately and fast in LTE-A are discussed much in recent years .In 3GPP Release 8, the UE History Information recorded by eNB was first proposed, it's proposed to provide eNB to judge the target eNB when handover. The history information includes the Cell ID and Time UE stayed in cell. We proposed an advance UE history information, reducing the handover failure rate and ping-pong handover rate by using the history information like Region-Domain, Time-Domain and Time To Trigger.[[sponsorship]]Tamkang University[[incitationindex]]EI[[conferencetype]]國際[[conferencetkucampus]]台北校園[[conferencedate]]20150902~20150903[[booktype]]電子版[[iscallforpapers]]Y[[conferencelocation]]Taipei, Taiwa

    A Fuzzy-based Dynamic Channel Allocation

[[abstract]]In traditional wireless networks, fixed allocation of spectrum is one of the main reason causing low utilization of spectrum. In order to solve this problem, a new wireless communication model has been proposed, which called Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN). CRN adopts Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) technology, thus it can flexibly use the spectrum which primary user temporarily unused. In cognitive radio networks, due to each secondary user (SU) has different location and surrounding spectrum environment, it may have variety of available channels. How to assign these available channels is the crucial point of system performance. However, existing methods doesn’t consider the problem of multipath fading; therefore, this study proposed an improved channel allocation scheme. We consider the received signal strength to define the channel access priority of secondary users applied by fuzzy theory. Finally, the simulation results show the superior of our approach and verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.[[sponsorship]]University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka[[incitationindex]]EI[[conferencetype]]國際[[conferencedate]]20150823~20150826[[booktype]]電子版[[iscallforpapers]]Y[[conferencelocation]]Colombo, Sri Lank

Structural study in Highly Compressed BiFeO3 Epitaxial Thin Films on YAlO3

We report a study on the thermodynamic stability and structure analysis of the epitaxial BiFeO3 (BFO) thin films grown on YAlO3 (YAO) substrate. First we observe a phase transition of MC-MA-T occurs in thin sample (<60 nm) with an utter tetragonal-like phase (denoted as MII here) with a large c/a ratio (~1.23). Specifically, MII phase transition process refers to the structural evolution from a monoclinic MC structure at room temperature to a monoclinic MA at higher temperature (150oC) and eventually to a presence of nearly tetragonal structure above 275oC. This phase transition is further confirmed by the piezoforce microscopy measurement, which shows the rotation of polarization axis during the phase transition. A systematic study on structural evolution with thickness to elucidate the impact of strain state is performed. We note that the YAO substrate can serve as a felicitous base for growing T-like BFO because this phase stably exists in very thick film. Thick BFO films grown on YAO substrate exhibit a typical "morphotropic-phase-boundary"-like feature with coexisting multiple phases (MII, MI, and R) and a periodic stripe-like topography. A discrepancy of arrayed stripe morphology in different direction on YAO substrate due to the anisotropic strain suggests a possibility to tune the MPB-like region. Our study provides more insights to understand the strain mediated phase co-existence in multiferroic BFO system.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Journal of Applied Physic

Increasing fMRI Sampling Rate Improves Granger Causality Estimates

Estimation of causal interactions between brain areas is necessary for elucidating large-scale functional brain networks underlying behavior and cognition. Granger causality analysis of time series data can quantitatively estimate directional information flow between brain regions. Here, we show that such estimates are significantly improved when the temporal sampling rate of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is increased 20-fold. Specifically, healthy volunteers performed a simple visuomotor task during blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD) contrast based whole-head inverse imaging (InI). Granger causality analysis based on raw InI BOLD data sampled at 100-ms resolution detected the expected causal relations, whereas when the data were downsampled to the temporal resolution of 2 s typically used in echo-planar fMRI, the causality could not be detected. An additional control analysis, in which we SINC interpolated additional data points to the downsampled time series at 0.1-s intervals, confirmed that the improvements achieved with the real InI data were not explainable by the increased time-series length alone. We therefore conclude that the high-temporal resolution of InI improves the Granger causality connectivity analysis of the human brain

100學年度研究獎補助論文[[abstract]]The product and direct role of the rssC gene of Serratia marcescens is unknown. For unraveling the role of the rssC gene, atomic force microscopy has been used to identify the surfaces of intact S. marcescens wild-type CH-1 cells and rssC mutant CH-1ΔC cells. The detailed surface topographies were directly visualized, and quantitative measurements of the physical properties of the membrane structures were provided. CH-1 and CH-1ΔC cells were observed before and after treatment with lysozyme, and their topography-related parameters, e.g., a valley-to-peak distance, mean height, surface roughness, and surface root-mean-square values, were defined and compared. The data obtained suggest that the cellular surface topography of mutant CH-1ΔC becomes rougher and more precipitous than that of wild-type CH-1 cells. Moreover, it was found that, compared with native wild-type CH-1, the cellular surface topography of lysozyme-treated CH-1 was not changed profoundly. The product of the rssC gene is thus predicted to be mainly responsible for fatty-acid biosynthesis of the S. marcescens outer membrane. This study represents the first direct observation of the structural changes in membranes of bacterial mutant cells and offers a new prospect for predicting gene expression in bacterial cells.[[journaltype]]國外[[incitationindex]]SCI[[booktype]]紙本[[countrycodes]]GB

BACKGROUND: Rodenticide poisoning remains a major public health problem in Asian countries. Nevertheless, very few data are available in world literature regarding the outcomes of these patients. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical outcomes of rodenticide poisonings in our hospital and to compare these data with published reports from other international poison centers. FINDINGS: We retrospectively examined the records of 20 patients with rodenticide poisoning (8 brodifacoum, 12 bromadiolone) who were referred to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital between 2000 and 2011. It was found that most of the rodenticide patients were middle-aged adults. Both genders were equally affected and many patients had a past history of major depressive disorder or schizophrenia. Nevertheless, patients with bromadiolone were referred significantly sooner than patients with brodifacoum poisoning (0.1 ± 0.1 versus 5.5 ± 10.5, P < 0.001). Furthermore, it was found that patients with brodifacoum suffered higher incidences of ecchymosis (50.0% versus 0%, P = 0.006) and hematuria (50.0% versus 0%, P = 0.006) than patients with bromadiolone poisoning. Laboratory analysis also demonstrated a poorer hemostatic profile of patients with brodifacoum [prothrombin time (PT), international normalized ratio (INR), 4.3 ± 4.8 versus 1.0 ± 0.1, P = 0.032; PT prolongation, 50.0% versus 0%, P = 0.006; activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) prolongation, 50.0% versus 0%, P = 0.006] than patients with bromadiolone poisoning. At the end of analysis, no patient died of the poisoning. CONCLUSION: The favorable outcome (zero mortality rate) is comparable to the published reports from other international poison centers. Further studies are warranted

The investigation based on the vigorous tourism industry and open up the gaming industry in the future to promote and construct the nation competition strength in Taiwan. Tourism destination image is an important factor which tourist chooses and plans their tourism schedule. But the concept of image includes inner psychology motivation, external environment factor or these two factors interaction to develop and integrate model. Therefore, this investigation aimed to construct the destination image formation model of Macao and take the Taiwan visitors to Macao for example. According to the findings, Taiwan tourists who actually visited Macao generally report positive tourist image in overall. Furthermore, the overall image of tourists visiting Macao can be enhanced if consumers’ return on investment and service superiority are conducted through experiential value perspective in terms of value/environment variables of Taiwan tourists’ perception or cognition perspective. Finally, a tourism image of Macao perceived by Taiwan tourists is built upon an experience in integrated industry surrounded by luxury atmosphere. To feel about the casino culture of mirage among Asian cities, and a national image of sense and sensibility after combining Eastern and Western culture are primary tourism motives of the study
