Image Type Water Meter Character Recognition Based on Embedded DSP
In the paper, we combined DSP processor with image processing algorithm and
studied the method of water meter character recognition. We collected water
meter image through camera at a fixed angle, and the projection method is used
to recognize those digital images. The experiment results show that the method
can recognize the meter characters accurately and artificial meter reading is
replaced by automatic digital recognition, which improves working efficiency
Quantum Impurity in Luttinger Liquid: Universal Conductance with Entanglement Renormalization
We study numerically the universal conductance of Luttinger liquids wire with
a single impurity via the Muti-scale Entanglement Renormalization Ansatz
(MERA). The scale invariant MERA provides an efficient way to extract scaling
operators and scaling dimensions for both the bulk and the boundary conformal
field theories. By utilizing the key relationship between the conductance
tensor and ground-state correlation function, the universal conductance can be
evaluated within the framework of the boundary MERA. We construct the boundary
MERA to compute the correlation functions and scaling dimensions for the
Kane-Fisher fixed points by modeling the single impurity as a junction (weak
link) of two interacting wires. We show that the universal behavior of the
junction can be easily identified within the MERA and argue that the boundary
MERA framework has tremendous potential to classify the fixed points in general
multi-wire junctions.Comment: 14 pages, 18 figure
Investigation of the 1+1 dimensional Thirring model using the method of matrix product states
We present preliminary results of a study on the non-thermal phase structure
of the (1+1) dimensional massive Thirring model, employing the method of matrix
product states. Through investigating the entanglement entropy, the fermion
correlators and the chiral condensate, it is found that this approach enables
us to observe numerical evidence of a Kosterlitz-Thouless phase transition in
the model.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures; contribution to the proceedings of Lattice 2018

Synthesis and crystal structure of the first 6a-thiathiophthen metal complex [Mo(CO)_5PPh_(2]2)(µ-C_5H_2S_3)
The first 6a-thiathiophthen metal complex was prepared by treating M(CO_)5[PPh_2CS_2CH_2C≡CH] with a catalytic amount of secondary amine or tertiary amine; the structure of the 6a-thiathiophthen molybdenum complex is confirmed by an X-ray diffraction analysis
Single deep ultraviolet light emission from boron nitride nanotube film
Light in deep ultraviolet DUV region has a wide range of applications and the demand for finding
DUV light emitting materials at nanoscale is increasingly urgent as they are vital for building
miniaturized optic and optoelectronic devices. We discover that boron nitride nanotubes BNNTs
with a well-crystallized cylindrical multiwall structure and diameters smaller than 10 nm can have
single DUV emission at 225 nm 5.51 eV. The measured BNNTs are grown on substrate in the form
of a thin film. This study suggests that BNNTs may work as nanosized DUV light sources for
various applications. © 20
