Postoperative Pain Management in Urologic Patients

    Get PDF
The quality of postoperative anesthesia in urologic patients has been analyzed. Correlation between pain intensity and postoperative complications has been revealed. Nonsteroid antiinflammatory and narcotic drugs don’t provide high-quality anesthesia after urological operations. Continued postoperative pain is the cause of development of pathological reactions and complications. An important role of prevention and treatment of postoperative pain comes to prolonged epidural analgesia composed of multimodal pain management. Usage of similar tactics significantly decreases the risk of negative reactions for organs and systems in response to operative stress, excludes the necessity of narcotic drugs, prevents the development of complications during the early postoperative period and provides comfortable conditions for patients

Signal selection and model-independent extraction of the neutrino neutral-current single π + cross section with the T2K experiment

This article presents a study of single π + production in neutrino neutral-current interactions (NC1π +) using the FGD1 hydrocarbon target of the ND280 detector of the T2K experiment. We report the largest sample of such events selected by any experiment, providing the first new data for this channel in over four decades and the first using a sub-GeV neutrino flux. The signal selection strategy and its performance are detailed together with validations of a robust cross section extraction methodology. The measured flux-averaged integrated cross-section is σ = (6.07 ± 1.22) × 10−41 cm2 /nucleon, 1.3 σ above the NEUT v5.4.0 expectation

First differential measurement of the single π+ production cross section in neutrino neutral-current scattering

Since its first observation in the 1970s, neutrino-induced neutral-current single positive pion production (NC1π +) has remained an elusive and poorly understood interaction channel. This process is a significant background in neutrino oscillation experiments and studying it further is critical for the physics program of next-generation accelerator-based neutrino oscillation experiments. In this Letter we present the first double-differential cross-section measurement of NC1π + interactions using data from the ND280 detector of the T2K experiment collected in ν-beam mode. The measured flux-averaged integrated cross-section is σ = (6.07±1.22)×10−41 cm2 /nucleon. We compare the results on a hydrocarbon target to the predictions of several neutrino interaction generators and final-state interaction models. While model predictions agree with the differential results, the data shows a weak preference for a cross-section normalization approximately 30% higher than predicted by most models studied in this Letter

Scintillator ageing of the T2K near detectors from 2010 to 2021

The T2K experiment widely uses plastic scintillator as a target for neutrino interactions and an active medium for the measurement of charged particles produced in neutrino interactions at its near detector complex. Over 10 years of operation the measured light yield recorded by the scintillator based subsystems has been observed to degrade by 0.9–2.2% per year. Extrapolation of the degradation rate through to 2040 indicates the recorded light yield should remain above the lower threshold used by the current reconstruction algorithms for all subsystems. This will allow the near detectors to continue contributing to important physics measurements during the T2K-II and Hyper-Kamiokande eras. Additionally, work to disentangle the degradation of the plastic scintillator and wavelength shifting fibres shows that the reduction in light yield can be attributed to the ageing of the plastic scintillator. The long component of the attenuation length of the wavelength shifting fibres was observed to degrade by 1.3–5.4% per year, while the short component of the attenuation length did not show any conclusive degradation

Statistical analysis of the influence of a number of factors on the soft magnetic characteristics of steel of "23X15H7M2" type

    No full text
The influence of the method of smelting, heat treatment and alloying on the soft magnetic properties of martensite 23Х15Н7М2 tempering steel is investigated. An increase in the soft magnetic properties of steel during smelting in the ДСП-1,5 furnace compared to the ИСТ-0,16 furnace, as well as an increase in magnetic induction and a decrease in the coercive force during heat treatment and the introduction of cobalt into the steel is determined. Methods of ensuring comfort and quality in the design of ecological and safe school furniture

    No full text
Main problem: The functional state at the physiological, psychological and behavioral levels depends on the student's working posture and affects the fatigue and performance of schoolchildren. Each new development of school furniture will undergo several test cycles. None of these cycles can give a final version of the comfort and safety of the equipment. The evaluation of school furniture takes place in several directions: compliance with building regulations and standards in accordance with age and other physiological parameters, secondly, the quality, durability and strength of modern materials, as well as the design of the form of which will provide aesthetic needs and provide a number of functions that contribute to the development and correction of children during classes in various disciplines. That is why the main context of this article is the work on identifying an increase in the period of productive working capacity in children engaged in a new model of a school desk that meets the basic ergonomic requirements. Purpose: The purpose of this article is a hygienic assessment of the impact of the ergonomic parameters of the workplace, namely furniture, on the physiological, psychological and behavioral levels of the functional state of schoolchildren and the state of the musculoskeletal system. Methods:To achieve the scientific results of this study, the methods of information and analytical, professional graphic, ergonomic methods, modeling method, questionnaire and experiment were used. Results and their significance: In the process of analyzing the information, the material of scientific research was studied and classified, which substantiates the methods of analyzing the functional feasibility, environmental safety and constitutional justification of school furniture created on the basis of innovative technologies including special technical achievements that contribute to the improvement of students' performance, interest, passion and self-development. The author's classes and tables are proposed in which the data of questionnaires and typologies of various principles of artistic design are presented, contributing to the creation of unique and at the same time ergonomic and ecological and safe furniture for schools.</jats:p
