Global electricity demands are increasing at rapid pace. Energy supply, their usage and technologies involved need to be more economical, environment friendly and socially sustainable. Efforts are being done all over the globe to reduce this green house effect; and renewable energy technologies to combat climate changes, which require extensive changes to the current electricity generation and distribution systems. To meet this goal, it is required to optimize the grid operations and available resources to meet the ever increasing energy demands in an efficient, effective and environment sustainable way. So strong and huge interests on smart grid have increased extensively in recent years around the world. This scenario could be a promising reason for future research in this area. This next form of electricity grid will be able to manage various parts of power production from power plants to the customers. Renewable energy sources appear strongly in smart grid so in this paper the effect of this sources will be studied also electric vehicles have a great effect on smart grid infrastructure ,communication and control this paper will discuss this effect if it come from the electric vehicle mode or vehicle to grid mode

The purpose of this study is to explain the variable of Leadership and Intrinstic Motivation to the Employee Performance at Cooperative Boarding School Darussalam Kecamatan Kabun Rokan Hulu. The sampling method in this study using census methods, which all members of the population used as a sample, which amounted to 37 people. Data collection methods used were interviews, documentation and providing questionnaires to employees in accordance with the research conducted. Method of Multiple Regression Analysis using SPSS version 17.0The results from this study showed that simultaneously Leadership variabel and Intrinsic Motivation significantly influence the Employee performance at Cooperative Boarding School Darussalam Darussalam Kecamatan Kabun Rokan Hulu. While partially leadership variables influence the performance of the performance, and as well as for intrinsic motivation variable partially influence on employee performance. From the research that has been conducted, the leaders of cooperative boarding school Darussalam should be able to direct the employee to work independently, must have a high level of patience, to be able to adjust to the employee and also to have a good communicating. From intrinsic motivation, cooperative boarding school Darussalam must give feedback, critics and appreciation to employees in order to achieve good performance. Keywords: Leadership, Intrinsic Motivation, Performanc

A new HPLC method for simultaneously measuring chloride, sugars, organic acids and alcohols in food samples

This paper introduces an original, rapid, efficient and reliable HPLC method for the accurate and simultaneous quantification (g/L) of chloride in samples containing sugars, organic acids and alcohols. Separation was achieved using a HI-Plex H column at 35oC, with H2SO4 (0.005 N) as the mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.4 mL/min. The column effluent was monitored by a Refractive Index (RI) detector. A linear response was achieved over NaCl concentrations of 0.25 – 2.5 g/L and 5 – 40 g/L. The analytical method inter- and intra-run accuracy and precision were better than ±10.0%. Investigating the mechanism of detection using different chloride and sodium s reviled that this method can be used for determining the total concentration of chloride salts when in suspension. This method was successfully applied to 15 samples of commercial food products and the salt content obtained from this method was compared with 3 other methods for salt determination. The (HI-Plex H) column was designed for determining the concentrations of sugars, organic acids and alcohols when in solution. Hence, application of our new methodology would allow the determination of sugars, alcohols and organic acids in samples derived from seawater-based fermentation media as well as samples from salty food and dairy products

Fraud cases in capital market concerning financial report delay were the main issues ofthe research. The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of financial performance, audit delay, and firm value. Population of the research was all companies listedin Indonesian Stock Exchange, from 2011-2013. The total of research samples were 38banking companies with 97 annual reports done by using purposive sampling method.Data analyses used were classical assumption test and hypothesis test with multiplelinear regression analysis. The result of the research showed that financial performancehad a significant influence to audit delay, while financial performance had a significantinfluence to firm value. Meanwhile audit delay did not significantly influence to firmvalue. The practical implication of the research suggested the delay of the financial report\u27sdelivery had an impact toward company\u27s image in front of the stakeholders

FXR expression is associated with dysregulated glucose and lipid levels in the offspring kidney induced by maternal obesity

© 2015 Glastras et al. Background: Maternal obesity is associated with dysregulation of glucose and lipid metabolism with consequent exposure of the fetus to an abnormal metabolic milieu. It is recognized that maternal obesity predisposes offspring to chronic kidney disease (CKD). We aimed to determine whether the nuclear Farnesoid X receptor (FXR), known to play a role in maintaining homeostasis of glucose and lipid metabolism, is involved in renal injury in offspring of obese mothers. Methods: Maternal obesity was established in a rat model by feeding dams with high-fat diet prior to and during pregnancy and lactation. The offspring's kidneys were examined at postnatal Day 1and Day 20. Human kidney 2 (HK2) cells were exposed to high glucose with or without the FXR agonist GW4064 or when FXR mRNA was silenced. Results: Glucose intolerance in the offspring of obese mothers was evident at weaning, with associated downregulation of renal FXR expression and upregulation of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1). HK2 cells exposed to high glucose had reduced FXR expression and increased MCP-1, TGF-β1, fibronectin and collagen IV expression, which was reversed in the presence of GW4064. FXR-silenced HK2 cells had amplified pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic markers under high glucose conditions. Conclusions: Maternal obesity influences renal expression of pro-inflammatory and fibrotic factors that predispose the offspring to CKD. This was associated with the downregulation of the renal FXR expression suggesting a potential protective role for FXR
