An LP-Based Approach for Goal Recognition as Planning
Goal recognition aims to recognize the set of candidate goals that are
compatible with the observed behavior of an agent. In this paper, we develop a
method based on the operator-counting framework that efficiently computes
solutions that satisfy the observations and uses the information generated to
solve goal recognition tasks. Our method reasons explicitly about both partial
and noisy observations: estimating uncertainty for the former, and satisfying
observations given the unreliability of the sensor for the latter. We evaluate
our approach empirically over a large data set, analyzing its components on how
each can impact the quality of the solutions. In general, our approach is
superior to previous methods in terms of agreement ratio, accuracy, and spread.
Finally, our approach paves the way for new research on combinatorial
optimization to solve goal recognition tasks.Comment: 8 pages, 4 tables, 3 figures. Published in AAAI 2021. Updated final

The assessment of damages for delict in South African and German Law, with special regard to loss of use and fraudulent misrepresentation inducing a contract
This thesis deals with the question of how the existence and extent of damage, as well as well the proper amount of damages, · are to be determined in the case of delict. To answer this question most legal systems have developed different rules and principles which do work satisfactorily in most cases. There are, however, certain cases in which the basic principles do not lead to satisfying results. In these cases courts often have a problem establishing their, decision, as neither basic legal principles nor legal theory are able to provide a satisfying solution
Translation and validation of the German version of the Mother-Generated Index and its application during the postnatal period.
the Mother-Generated Index (MGI) is a validated tool to assess postnatal quality of life. It is usually administered several weeks or months after birth and correlates with indices of post partum mood states and physical complaints. The instrument had not been translated into German before or validated for use among German-speaking women, nor have the results of the tool been assessed specifically for the administration directly after birth. This paper aims to describe the systematic translation process of the MGI into German and to assess the convergent validity of the German version of the instrument directly after birth and seven weeks post partum
Search for composite and exotic fermions at LEP 2
A search for unstable heavy fermions with the DELPHI detector at LEP is
reported. Sequential and non-canonical leptons, as well as excited leptons and
quarks, are considered. The data analysed correspond to an integrated
luminosity of about 48 pb^{-1} at an e^+e^- centre-of-mass energy of 183 GeV
and about 20 pb^{-1} equally shared between the centre-of-mass energies of 172
GeV and 161 GeV. The search for pair-produced new leptons establishes 95%
confidence level mass limits in the region between 70 GeV/c^2 and 90 GeV/c^2,
depending on the channel. The search for singly produced excited leptons and
quarks establishes upper limits on the ratio of the coupling of the excited

Development of a constitutive and an auto-inducible high-yield expression system for recombinant protein production in the microalga Nannochloropsis oceanica
Photoautotrophic microalgae offer a great potential as novel hosts for efficient recombinant protein production. Nannochloropsis oceanica produces an extraordinarily high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and its robust growth characteristics, published genome sequence and efficient nuclear transformation make N. oceanica a promising candidate for biotechnological applications. To establish a robust and flexible system for recombinant protein production, we cloned six endogenous, potentially constitutive or inducible promoters from N. oceanica strain CCMP1779 and investigated their strength using monomeric Venus as reporter gene. Microscopic pre-screening of individual transformants revealed that the promoters of elongation factor (EF), tubulin (TUB) and nitrate reductase (NR) enabled high reporter gene expression. Comparative quantitative analyses of transformant populations by flow cytometry and qRT-PCR demonstrated the highest Venus expression from the EF promoter and the NR promoter if extended by an N-terminal 14-amino acid leader sequence. The kinetics of reporter gene expression were analysed during photobioreactor cultivation, achieving Venus yields of 0.3% (for EF) and 4.9% (for NR::LS) of total soluble protein. Since inducible expression systems enable the production of toxic proteins, we developed an auto-induction medium for the NR promoter transformants. By switching the N source from ammonium to nitrate in the presence of low ammonium concentrations, the starting point of Venus induction could be fine-tuned and shifted towards exponential growth phase while maintaining high recombinant protein yields. Taken together, we demonstrate that a model recombinant protein can be produced robustly and at very high levels in N. oceanica not only under constitutive but also under auto-inducible cultivation conditions.publishedVersio
A necessidade de padronização do processo de compras na Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais (ACAFE)
The present work has as main objective the standardization of the process of purchasing goods and services in the Santa Catarina Association of Educational Foundations - ACAFE. Through research and data collection, it has become clear that related foundations do not follow an integrated and legalized system for the acquisition of goods and services, thus arousing interest in developing monograph work, addressing this very important, controversial subject. and little debated. With the conclusion of this article, the author's premise is to present the present work, provoking debate within the sectoral chambers of the ACAFE system, and leaving as an option the great interest in the standardization of processes within the legalities in compliance with applicable laws, making it that the process becomes one, agile, economic, representing at its end the social legal certainty that the process obeys instrumental assecuratory premises.O presente trabalho tem por objetivo principal a padronização do processo de compras de bens e serviços na Associação Catarinense das Fundações Educacionais – ACAFE.

Abstract
This article guides researchers navigating copyright (droits d\u27auteur) when using corporate archival sources. Divided into two parts, it first outlines key concepts like copyright exceptions, limitations, and the public domain under Law No. 9.610/1998, drawing on relevant legal articles and doctrinal sources. The second part presents a practical case study: the Moysés Lupion collection — papers of a businessman and former governor — housed in the Public Archive of Paraná. Here, copyright considerations are analyzed for each document group, offering researchers clear guidance on their permissible uses.

Search for charginos in e+e- interactions at sqrt(s) = 189 GeV
An update of the searches for charginos and gravitinos is presented, based on
a data sample corresponding to the 158 pb^{-1} recorded by the DELPHI detector
in 1998, at a centre-of-mass energy of 189 GeV. No evidence for a signal was
found. The lower mass limits are 4-5 GeV/c^2 higher than those obtained at a
centre-of-mass energy of 183 GeV. The (\mu,M_2) MSSM domain excluded by
combining the chargino searches with neutralino searches at the Z resonance
implies a limit on the mass of the lightest neutralino which, for a heavy
sneutrino, is constrained to be above 31.0 GeV/c^2 for tan(beta) \geq 1.Comment: 22 pages, 8 figure
Search for lightest neutralino and stau pair production in light gravitino scenarios with stau NLSP
Promptly decaying lightest neutralinos and long-lived staus are searched for
in the context of light gravitino scenarios. It is assumed that the stau is the
next to lightest supersymmetric particle (NLSP) and that the lightest
neutralino is the next to NLSP (NNLSP). Data collected with the Delphi detector
at centre-of-mass energies from 161 to 183 \GeV are analysed. No evidence of
the production of these particles is found. Hence, lower mass limits for both
kinds of particles are set at 95% C.L.. The mass of gaugino-like neutralinos is
found to be greater than 71.5 GeV/c^2. In the search for long-lived stau,
masses less than 70.0 to 77.5 \GeVcc are excluded for gravitino masses from 10
to 150 \eVcc . Combining this search with the searches for stable heavy leptons
and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model staus a lower limit of 68.5 \GeVcc
may be set for the stau mas
