Determining Functional Outcomes Following Proximal Humerus Interlocking System (Philos) Plating in Displaced Proximal Humerus Fractures: A Comprehensive Evaluation
Displaced fractures of the proximal humerus pose a significant challenge in orthopaedic practice, particularly in the aging population. The Proximal Humerus Interlocking System (PHILOS) plating has emerged as a promising surgical approach for managing these fractures. This study aims to evaluate the functional outcomes associated with PHILOS plating in displaced proximal humerus fractures.
The classification of fracture types was inconsistent and thus the selection of surgical approaches varied. Various surgical procedures have been performed, but the recent trend towards internal fixation has shifted to locking plates.
AIM AND OBJECTIVES
The current study is being conducted to evaluate the functional outcome and complications of displaced proximal humeral fractures treated with locking compression plates.
MATERIALS AND METHODS
The proposed study is prospective study cantered in VINAYKA MISSION’S KIRUPANANDA VARIYER MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, SALEM, TAMILNADU during the term between November 2020 to November 2022 over period of 2 years.
In the proposed study a minimum of 20 cases presenting with displaced proximal humerus fractures are evaluated clinically, radiologically and treated by ORIF with LOCKING COMPRESSION PLATES (PHILOS). functional outcomes were assessed with the use of NEER’S SHOULDER SCORE at the end of the study.
RESULTS
The study included 20 patients, with a predominance of males. Road traffic accidents (RTA) were identified as the most common cause of injury among young individuals, while falls at home were predominant among the elderly population. Fracture classification revealed a spectrum of injuries, including two-part, three-part, and four-part fractures of displaced Proximal humerus
EVALUATING THE NUTRITIVE PROPERTIES OF MIXED PLANT DERIVED PRODUCTS WITH AND WITHOUT SOYAMILK FOR PHARMACOLOGICAL USAGE
Objective: Normally this day's nutritive products are available, but most of them are synthetic made materials which have low quality ingredients and for storage purpose it is coated with phenolic compounds. It is not at all harmful, though it is not fully absorbed by our body receptors in intestine and way too costly the products are these days. To compensate this issue we have evaluated the nutritive properties of mixed plant derived products with and without soyamilk. Methods: Natural existing products like Moringa olifera leaves, spinach leaves, Colocasia fruit part were obtained from the concerned source and they were powdered and crude extract are used to mix along methanol extract. This extract is used for estimation of antioxidants, phenols, vitamins and carbohydrate. Later extract is dissolved in soyamilk, the studies of interaction and various biochemical methods are carried out. Results: These studies showed the presence of phenols were higher in the soya milk which makes it contiguous and stagnant. Conclusion: Comparison studies are made between soyamilk after mixing the extract in multiple standards. Keywords:Nutritive products, Soyamilk, Moringa Olifera, Carbohydrate
Improved control strategy of DFIG-based wind turbines using direct torque and direct power control techniques
This paper presents different control strategies for a variable-speed wind energy conversion system (WECS), based on a doubly fed induction generator. Direct Torque Control (DTC) with Space-Vector Modulation is used on the rotor side converter. This control method is known to reduce the fluctuations of the torque and flux at low speeds in contrast to the classical DTC, where the frequency of switching is uncontrollable. The reference for torque is obtained from the maximum power point tracking technique of the wind turbine. For the grid-side converter, a fuzzy direct power control is proposed for the control of the instantaneous active and reactive power. Simulation results of the WECS are presented to compare the performance of the proposed and classical control approaches.Peer reviewedFinal Accepted Versio
Sharing of Data Using Key Aggregation and Searchable Encryption
Sharing data with different users is an important functionality of the cloud. However, while enjoying the convenience provided by the cloud storage, user’s main concern is regarding the data leakage present in cloud. A promising approach to prevent this is encryption of data before uploading onto cloud. The desire to selectively and securely share documents with any group of users demands different documents to have different encryption keys. This necessitates the distribution of a large number of keys to users for both encryption and search, those users will have to securely store these keys, and submit an equally large number of keyword trapdoors to the cloud in order to perform search. In this paper, we resolve this problem by extending the concept of Key Aggregate Searchable Encryption (KASE) scheme which employs a single aggregate key and a single trapdoor. Here, the data owner only needs to distribute a single key to a user for sharing a large number of documents, and the user only needs to submit a single trapdoor to the cloud for querying the documents. Also, we provide a functionality of selection of keyword based on their rank by the Data owner in such a way that the selected keywords describe the file. Thus, this scheme makes the management of the keys efficient and also makes the sharing of documents over the cloud more secure

Online Recruitment Fraud (ORF) Detection using Deep Learning
: The rise of digital platforms for job recruitment has brought with it a growing threat of fraudulent job
postings, undermining the trust and safety of online hiring systems. This paper proposes an advanced fraud detection
system based on the ALBERT (A Lite BERT) model to identify fraudulent job postings. The system will utilize a
dataset created by merging job postings from multiple sources to better capture both legitimate and fraudulent job
listings. A comprehensive pre-processing pipeline, including data cleaning and feature engineering, will be applied to
prepare the data for model training. The system will incorporate various techniques, such as SMOTE (Synthetic
Minority Over-sampling Technique), to address class imbalance. The ALBERT model will then be fine-tuned to
classify job postings, and the system will be evaluated using standard performance metrics like accuracy, precision,
recall, and F1-score. The goal is to provide an effective and scalable solution for detecting fraudulent job postings in
real-time, enhancing the overall security and trustworthiness of online recruitment platforms
Hot Corrosion Studies on HVOF Coated Alloy A-286 in Molten Salt Environment
The corrosion resistance Cr3C2-25%NiCr and Ni-20%Cr coatings were deposited on the alloy A-286 by high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) coating, and the high-temperature corrosion features were evaluated at 700 and 850°C in Na2SO4-5%NaCl-7.5%NaVO3 atmosphere. Deposited coatings are dense and well-adherent to the substrate. A scanning electron microscope (SEM) is used to analyze the structure of the corroded samples. Results showed that Cr3C2 -25%NiCr coating provides better resistance to corrosion at 700°C, which is attributed to the protective Cr2O3 development. The coated metal was exposed at 850°C, and a higher corrosion rate was observed compared to 700°C, indicating that the temperature influenced the oxidation rate. The coating failure (crack) was noticed on the Cr3C2-25%NiCr coated surface when exposed at 850°C, and no damages are in the Ni-20%Cr coating
RNAI MEDIATED GENE SILENCING OF EIF3A: A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO CONTROL BREAST CANCER
Objective: The eukaryotic translational initiation factor 3A (eIF3A) is reported to be over expressed in most breast cancer cells. In the present study, our aim is to suppress the over expression of eIF3A in human breast cancer MCF-7 cell line using gene silencing technique (RNA interference (RNAi)).Methods: The artificial microRNA (amiRNA) targeting eIF3A gene was constructed by incorporating short interference RNA (siRNA) sequences against eIF3A gene into endogenous microRNA30 (miR-30) and cloned into pcDNA3.1 vector. The amiRNA containing plasmid was then transfected into MCF-7 cell line and the expression of eIF3A was examined by RT-PCR. The cytotoxicity of plasmid with amiRNA targeting eIF3A on MCF–7 cells was evaluated by MTT assay. Results: The amiRNA construct significantly inhibited eIF3A gene expression and reduce the cell viability of MCF-7 cell line. Conclusion: The usage of modified endogenous amiRNA in vector based expression system with significant gene silencing efficiency suggests that RNAi based gene silencing method can be considered as one of the effective means to control cancer.Â
