The headlines hitting the news worldwide are talking about the recent outbreak of the coronavirus infection (COVID-19) that started as an epidemic in China by the end of year 2019 and became a public health emergency after a pandemic spread within a span of few weeks. With no curative measure in hand, this ailment is killing victims at the rate of almost 2% of the affected ones. This review focuses on general information regarding coronavirus, pathological findings from biopsy sample of a previously published case and the standard preventive recommendations prescribed by various researchers and health authorities.</jats:p

Locating all the root canals, cleaning and shaping them and then sealing them completely with a root canal filling material is very important for the root canal therapy to be successful. Missed canals lead to failure of the root canal treatment rendering the patient in pain. A dentist should be well-versed with the variations in the root canal system. The given case report presents a case of lower first molar with six canals, 4 distal and 2 mesial. All the canals were located using the champagne bubble test and the bleeding points were identified and the area was scouted to locate the canals. The clinician should evaluate all the cases clinically as well as radiographically for the presence of anomalies. Usually, the clinicians try to locate only the predominant canals and do not scout the chamber for any abnormal variations. This failure to locate a canal will lead to remnants of pulp in the tooth which is the major reason for re-infection and failure of the treatment. Also, in some cases it can be a reason for persistent pain for the patient. So, it’s important to locate all the canals and clean them for a successful root canal treatment. </jats:p

Legal But are they Accepted? The Psycho-Social Impact of Section 377 on the Lgbtqia+ Community: Pre and Post Abolishment in Delhi NCR, India

Historical shreds of evidence show that the LGBTQIA+ community has been fighting for their basic rights for the longest time in India. A qualitative study was conducted to analyze experiences of different individuals belonging to the community living in Delhi NCR, India. Phenomenological approach was used to assess N=13 participants who were recruited using judgement purposive sampling and one-on-one interviews over Zoom were conducted with a semi-structured form of an interview which was developed involving questions around their challenges, the sociological impact, and their psychological journey. Thematic analysis was done and six key themes emerged- 1. No significant change in self-confidence and self-acceptance because of the abolishment 2. Fear of losing freedom and financial resources because of their identity 3. Greater acceptance from GenZ than any other generation 4. The law has changed but the perception and acceptance haven’t 5. Although the media representation has increased, it isn’t apt. 6. Need of established government policies for LGBTQIA+ community. Further studies on a larger scale will help us determine the issues faced by the community and ways to resolve them.</jats:p

The Nexus between Environmental Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure and Firm Performance in Pakistan

The corporate social responsibility (CS_R) is considered a key factor in the realm of finance and is regarded as an important aspect of investment decision-making. This research aims to look into the impact of the environmental dimension of CS_R disclosure on firm financial performance (F-P) in the Banking sector of Pakistan. This study utilizes secondary quantitative data gathered from published annual reports of publicly traded banks and the official website of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) from 2010 to 2020. The study applied the fixed effect model (F-E-M) or a random effect model (R-E-M) for analysis purposes, along with some pre-requisite diagnostic tests. The independent variable of the study is the environmental dimension of CS_R, while the dependent variable of the study is firm F-P proxied by return on assets (R-O-A) and return on equity (R-O-E) respectively. Control factors such as business size and debt ratio were also employed in the study. The outcome of the study showed that there is a significant relationship between environmental CS_R and F-P in Pakistan's banking industry. This particular research assists companies in understanding the significance of CS_R disclosure in improving the financial performance of the banking industry. The study's conclusions should have practical applications for firms, governments, financial advisors, and Pakistan's banking industry.</jats:p
